Dined in twice but tonight ordered delivery through Postmates. At first i ordered from another restaurant who then cancelled the Postmates delivery because they were too busy. I tried searching again for phad kee mao and it came up available here. They're already hands down my favorite Thai in West Seattle, and now to get it delivered to my house? All the joy- it came fresh, spicy, hot, traveled beautifully, bursting with aroma. It arrived quickly, and is just as good as dining in, and definitely the best you'll find in West Seattle!!!
We also got some fried rice and I'm never going order it anywhere else in West Seattle.
But maybe use a few other options than pricey Postmates?
Thank you for raising the bar Srivilai!!

A lot of Thai places can be disappointing because they don't have enough spices and is usually super watered down but Srivilai was great.

Their Thai tea was great and you can never go wrong with one. I got the pumpkin curry with chicken and it was delicious! The pumpkin could have been a little longer so have that nice soft texture. Curry had good consistency and wasn't runny. Portions are decent.. was able to pack some left over for next day's lunch!

Overall good place and I will be back again to try some of there other dishes!

Went back to Srivilai for the second time after a nice first time and will absolutely NEVER return!!

VEGETARIANS: Note that they are beyond careless about keeping meat out of their dishes. I get that accidents happen (I'm sure especially when moving fast in a kitchen) but the practices here are HORRIBLE.

I ordered a vegetarian curry with only veggies. They brought out curry with a large chunk of meat on top in the middle of the dish. I pointed it out and reminded the waitress I was vegetarian and that I needed a new, uncontaminated one. I heard a microwave go off several minutes later and got a "new" batch. I did a little look and immediately found another meat chunk. I sent that back and told her to not bother again and let her know that cross-contamination like that in vegetarian dishes is beyond not ok. It's hard to say if they just reheated my old curry and sent it out, but messing up that bad TWICE?! Come on.

Let me back up a bit because there are other poor details to point out.

Upon arrival, I noticed they are rated "Good." That's like a "C" if you are grading homework. I missed that previously.

I went with several others and the food was very slow. We weren't in a hurry so that was ok, but it started to get laughable when it was a solid 15 minutes between each couple of dishes. By the time mine arrived, everyone else was done.

After everyone else ate (5 others) we were charged the 6+ mandatory tip. Come on - I never got to eat! I got that removed but after all of the bad experiences, that was insanely insensitive.

With the carelessness of food handling, learning of the poor food rating ("Good"), and unapologetic less than detail-oriented service, I couldn't recommend this place any less. There are countless other Thai places in Seattle, so do yourself a favor any go anywhere else.

    GROSS!!!!

Thai Ice Coffee $3.50: Love Thai ice coffee! It more or less always tastes the same to me whenever I get it from a Thai restaurant.

Curry Puffs $7.50 (5 puffs): The puffs were not bad, but not something I'd feel compelled to order again.

Tom Kah Soup $9.95, with tofu: I normally love this soup at other restaurants, but maybe my mistake here was getting it at spice level 3 (out of 5). I think getting it more spicy might have lessened the coconut creaminess that usually makes it so good. It also tasted a lot fishier than I've elsewhere. Once something gets into my mind as fishy, I can't shake it off and keep eating it. It was a good portion size though. It had more than 4 bowls worth for sharing.

Panang Curry $10.95, with pork: We also got this with spice level 3 of 5. It was $2 extra for brown rice (jasmine rice is also $2 extra). I don't mind Thai curry, but I rarely crave it or would order it for myself. I did try some with rice and it was good enough.

Phad See Ew $10.95, with chicken: We continued with our trend of spice level 3 of 5. The texture of the noodles was good, but the sauce was too sweet for my liking. But what about the spice level you ask? It wasn't evenly distributed, so when I did bite into the pepper or whatever was making it spicy, I did find that one bite super spicy.

Crying Tiger$14.95: I first had this dish at a spot in Mountain View, CA and loved it because the sauce was so flavorful. The sauce wasn't as good here, and I thought the beef itself was too salty. I did think the meat was tender at least.

    *****

    My Star Ratings:
1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry.
2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return.
3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to.
4 Stars - Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already.
5 Stars - AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here.

Good thai restaurant in West Seattle.. we stopped by on a lazy cloudy rainy sunday afternoon and there was no wait time.. we were seated quickly at a table and food was also served real quick and fresh.. we started with the golden prawns and crab rangoons..both these starters were really nice and tasty.. we then ordered the pad kee maw which was delicious and so was the panang curry with chicken.. highly recommend if in this area very good flavors good service and minimal wait time (if any ever)..
